Lampshade Making Workshop - Sept 27 2025
I took the lampshade-making class at Squushed, and I couldn’t recommend it more! Amanda, was incredibly calm, patient, and clear in her instructions. Even as a complete beginner, I felt confident throughout the process and left with a brand-new skill—I can now make lampshades on my own!
The venue itself is cozy and welcoming. I’ve done a few courses there already, and each one has been a great experience. For the lampshade class specifically, I especially loved the wide selection of beautiful handmade papers Amanda provided. There were so many gorgeous patterns to choose from, making it easy to create something unique that fits perfectly in your home.
If you’re looking for a creative, hands-on workshop in a warm and inspiring setting, I can’t recommend this course enough. I left feeling proud of what I made and excited to try more projects.

I did the lampshade making workshop with Amanda and it was wonderful to get an insight into this process and make something for my home! I really enjoyed the choice of papers and the explanations of the different types you can use as well as the way Amanda presented everything to us. Although tricky to make, the process was so calming!

I recently attended a Lampshade Workshop and what an amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was on hand to create a beautiful Lampshade with the help of Amanda who was very informative on her craft and a great facilitator. I would highly recommend,I came away with a beautiful Lampshade.

A lovely workshop. Amanda & Nuala were great facilitators. Very relaxed workshop with hands on expertise to ensure we all came away with a fab lampshade. A great experience, would highly recommend!
