SQUUSHED is an alternate spelling of the word "squished", as in, to squash.

It has a single syllable and is pronounced as "skwuhshd". If it's easier to say as "squashed" or "squished", that's fine too. We don't mind how you pronounce it!

Our name, SQUUSHED, is a playful term that reflects our creative philosophy. Derived from 'squish', it represents the blending or 'squushing' of different elements - techniques, concepts, colours, environments - into something innovative and exciting.

At SQUUSHED, we delight in the unexpected and the inspiration sparked by juxtaposing elements you wouldn't usually see together. The concept of SQUUSHED also speaks to our approach of mixing traditional and digital methods, of embracing the mess that comes with creativity. There's a certain freedom in letting go of perfection and allowing ourselves to revel in the creation process, even if it gets a bit messy. This mindset allows us to continually innovate and produce distinctive and delightful designs.

So, SQUUSHED stands not only as our name but as a reminder of our mission: to embrace the joy of the creative process, to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary, and to continually explore new connections in our work.

We are based in Ireland, specifically in Co. Kildare (a bordering county to Dublin). We sell both locally and internationally.

Sustainability is important to us at SQUUSHED. We prioritise using eco-friendly materials and sustainable practices in our in-house production processes. Our printed products, such as organic cotton totes, are manufactured with environmentally responsible methods. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint while delivering high-quality, beautiful products.

We offer a variety of in-person workshops designed to inspire and educate, including bookbinding, leathercraft, keepsake box making, and lampshade making. Our classes cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced crafters. Keep an eye on our workshops listing page for tickets and details.

Signing up for a workshop is easy! Visit our workshops page to view the schedule and availability. Select the workshop you’re interested in, choose your preferred date and time, and complete the registration process online. Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking early to secure your spot.

All necessary materials and tools will be provided for our workshops. You're welcome to bring a notebook or sketchbook if you’d like to take notes or sketch your ideas. If any extra items (such as an apron) is needed, we will inform you before the workshop.

Yes, we do ship internationally. Our primary market is Europe, but we can also ship worldwide on request (and for an additional fee). Please get in touch if you don't see your shipping destination when checking out, and we'll see what we can do.
