Diving Duck

The Diving Duck is an original illustration in our animals series.

Mallards are dabbling ducks commonly found across the Northern Hemisphere. They are excellent divers, dipping underwater to feed on plants and insects.

This duck enjoys diving and likes to see for how long it can hold its breath. It is the pond champion diver for the third year running.

The original was hand painted in gouache on watercolour paper
