Description

Join our bookbinding workshop waiting list to be the first to secure your space in our upcoming workshops. We run workshops in multiple different techniques:

  • Case bound: Full day. A hardcover, hard spine binding, usually covered in book cloth, with decorative endpapers. Probably the type of book you think of when you hear "hardback book".
  • Coptic stitch: Full day. A hardcover, exposed spine binding, with visible decorative stitching on the spine. An ancient binding technique that lies flat when open.
  • Long stitch: Half day. A softcover book with exposed stitching through the spine. Multiple sections with a ribbon closure.
  • Chain stitch with pockets: Half day. A softcover book with exposed stitching through the spine. Single section with integrated pockets in the cover.
  • Chain stitch with closure: Half day. A softcover book with exposed stitching through the spine. Single section with either a ribbon or tab closure.

  • Create your own journal from start to finish
  • Choose the materials that speak to you
  • Learn how to bind your journal using your chosen technique
  • Workshop durations vary from half-day (2.5 - 3 hours) to full-day (6 - 7 hours)

We will schedule future rounds when we have again reached a quorum. If you'd like a one-on-one workshop, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact us directly if interested!
