Dandelion

The Dandelion an original illustration in our botanical series.

The dandelion has a bright yellow flower which turns to white fluffy seeds, or dandelion clocks. As the story goes, you can tell the time by how many puffs it takes to blow away all the dandelion seeds.

The Irish name for dandelion is caisearbhán, and means bitter-footed or bitter-stemmed one
