Cowslip
The Cowslip is an original illustration in our botanical series.
The cowslip, or primula veris, bloom in April and May. The plant is now quite rare in the British Isles as it's been over-picked and dug up for gardens. It has yellow/orange flowers.
The Irish for cowslip is bainne bó bleachtáin, which means the juice of the milk cow
