Explore the world of leathercraft with our half-day workshop. You will learn to work with leather, cutting and shaping it into your own personalised item. This hands-on workshop is fun and educational, providing you with the skills to craft unique leather pieces. Whether you're looking to pick up a new hobby or want an enjoyable day out, our workshop is the perfect place to unleash your creativity.

Workshop types:

  • No-sew leather box: a practical and beautiful box, which can collapse flat. Handy for storing keys, coins, or napkins. Skills: cutting, punching, edge bevelling, burnishing, dying (optional)
  • Pet collar: a personalised collar for a dog or similarly sized pet. Skills: cutting, punching, edge bevelling, burnishing, stamping
  • Passport holder: a durable protector for your documents. Skills: cutting, punching, edge bevelling, burnishing, dying (optional), sewing
  • Glasses case: a personalised and practical cover for sunglasses or spectacles. Skills: cutting, punching, edge bevelling, burnishing, stamping, tooling
  • Tooling: a small wall hanging, bookmark, keyring, or similar flat item. Skills: cutting, edge bevelling, burnishing, stamping, tooling

  • Create your chosen item from start to finish
  • The duration of this workshop is a half day (2.5 - 3 hours)
  • All materials and tools provided

Workshops @ GATHER

GATHER is a fantastic craft shop and workshop space in Kildare town. It's a co-operative initiative between the Kildare Local Enterprise Office and Kildare-based artists and makers, and stocks a range of local, handmade and designed items. It is staffed by the makers themselves, a perfect opportunity to learn more about the creator of your new favourite item and discover how the item was made. SQUUSHED is stocked in GATHER so be sure to check it out!

GATHER is located in the centre of Kildare town in market square, and is surrounded by fabulous eateries such as Firecastle, Hartes, and Agape. Kildare Village is only a 10 minute walk from the venue, not to be missed!

Brilliant workshop

We had the best time learning how to make leather flower key rings. It was the perfect activity for my mums birthday! Really enjoyable ❤️ 10/10

Leathercraft Workshop

Had the most enjoyable, relaxing and informative workshop today with Amanda (the most patient person ever!). The class was a mix of capabilities and Amanda helped us all produce some beautiful leather products to bring home. I will definitely sign up for another course with SQUUSHED 😍
