Description

Join our lampshade making waiting list to be the first to secure your space in our upcoming workshops. Learn how to make and customise your own lampshade in our half-day workshop. This hands-on workshop is fun and educational, providing you with the skills to craft a unique item for your home. Whether you're looking to pick up a new hobby or enjoy a day out, our workshop is the perfect place to unleash your creativity.

Lampshade types:

  • 20cm drum: a small cylindrical lampshade, ideal for a small lamp base such as a bedside lamp or similar.
  • 30cm drum: a medium-sized cylindrical lampshade, perfect for larger bases or ceiling lights.
  • 40cm drum: a large cylindrical lampshade, ideal for a large tabletop lamp, standard lamp, or ceiling light.
  • Candle: a micro shade that clips directly onto a tulip-shaped bulb. These shades are great for wall sconces, or small lamp bases.

Details

  • Create your own lampshade from start to finish
  • Choose your decorative paper to cover the lampshade
  • Embellish your lampshade with ribbons or trims
  • The duration of this workshop is a half-day (2.5-3 hours)
  • All materials and tools provided

Once enough people have signed up, we will contact you to confirm the location, date, and time of the workshop. If the proposed time doesn't suit, don't worry! We will schedule future rounds when we have again reached a quorum. If you'd like a one-on-one workshop, this can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact us directly if interested!

Lampshade making workshop

I did the lampshade making workshop with Amanda and it was wonderful to get an insight into this process and make something for my home! I really enjoyed the choice of papers and the explanations of the different types you can use as well as the way Amanda presented everything to us. Although tricky to make, the process was so calming!

Lampshade workshop

I recently attended a Lampshade Workshop and what an amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was on hand to create a beautiful Lampshade with the help of Amanda who was very informative on her craft and a great facilitator. Great workshop!

A lovely workshop. Amanda & Nuala were great facilitators. Very relaxed workshop with hands on expertise to ensure we all came away with a fab lampshade. A great experience, would highly recommend!

Brilliant workshop!

This lampshade workshop was brilliant and something I’d always wanted to do. Amanda made the whole process easy to follow and she was very patient. The materials were excellent. There were also plenty of options for personalising my lampshade, even though I decided not to as the Japanese papers were so beautiful. I love how the light shines through it. It was a rewarding and enjoyable experience, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone to give it a try, well worth it😍
